This replacement changed the roofing material from existing wood shake to CertainTeed Presidential Shake TL asphalt shingles. The recorded scope includes the decking and weather-protection layers beneath the new roof.
Project scope
Remove the existing wood-shake roofing and old underlayment; inspect the decking.
Install plywood decking where needed, ice and water shield, and synthetic underlayment.
Install CertainTeed Presidential Shake TL shingles, drip edge, valley metal, ridge ventilation and penetration flashing.

Metal-roof cleaning and penetration repairs
This project retained the existing metal roof and focused on cleaning and penetration details: three pipe boots, two flapper vents and the associated flashing seals.
Project scope
Clean the metal roof surface.
Replace three metal-roof-compatible pipe boots.
Replace one 4-inch and one 6-inch aluminum flapper vent, and seal the penetration flashings.

Tile-roof valley and damaged decking repair
This localized repair retained and reset the existing roof tiles after addressing damaged plywood in the valley. Gutter and downspout cleaning and a drainage-flow check were also included in the recorded scope.
Project scope
Lift the existing tiles in the valley to reach the damaged decking.
Replace damaged plywood, apply ice and water shield, and reset the existing tiles.
Clean the gutters and downspouts and check drainage flow.
These summaries were prepared from company project records in October 2026. Dates show when completion was recorded. Customer names, street addresses and contract prices are omitted. The scope, materials, schedule and warranty for a future project are confirmed in its own written proposal.
